Blackbird first opened it’s doors in April of 2007 and changed hands in August of 2011.

From the beginning, Blackbird has truly made a nest for itself here on Almonte’s beautiful Mill Street. The store has come into its own and is full to the brim with neat stuff that cover a range of departments including home décor, bath & body, kids & baby, jewelry and accessories, art, cards, gifts and more.

We’re evolving every day.

It didn’t take long to learn that the best part of owning a store is going to gift shows, discovering interesting new products, and snatching them up! So, in an effort to do more of it, we made the decision to price every item as fairly as possible, sell them and buy more.

It seems to be working.

At Blackbird we receive at least one shiny new shipment every week, so you can always expect to find something new in store. You can also count on the fact that if you find a unique item on our shelves, chances are you’ll be one of the very few who own one. Some of our products are just such great sellers that we’ll always have some in stock, but we’re a store who likes to take the occasional risk and we’d like to think that some of the stuff you’ll find in here is like nothing you’ve seen elsewhere.
